Bachelor's Degree in Spanish and a Master's Degree in English with TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) concentration. I studied Spanish abroad in Mexico and learned about general instructional theory in the teacher education classes I took as an undergraduate. I'm currently taking adult education theory classes at UC Berkeley Extension.
Experience
I hold a valid CA Designated Subjects Adult Education Credential, and I only tutor adults. I am a native English speaker, and I currently tutor several adults in ESL grammar, conversation, and pronunciation. I also teach the following classes at an adult school: Intensive Grammar; Pronunciation and Conversation; and Multilevel ESL. I've also taught beginning literacy ESL to adult refugees; intermediate ESL to community college students; and advanced ESL at an adult school. Teaching ESL is the job I'd do for free--I love it!
